Chapter 4.1 - Real zeros of a polynomial function

  • use remainder and factor theorem.
  • use Descarte's rule of signs to find possible number of positive and negative solutions.
  • use rational zeros theorem to list potential rational zeros and find the real zeros
  • solve polynomial equations
  • find upper and lower bounds
