Warmup 1.7 - Cost per mile

Collecting data with motion detector. Sharing and analyzing data.

 
Students learn to share transfer data from one calculator to the next.   Collecting M&M data. Using the TI Pennies program, collect data for the mass of plain M&M's and Peanut M&M's.
 
Using the calculator, students are able to find a mathematical model for the data collected.   After finding the model, the model is shared along with the meaning of the model including a comparison between the model for plain and peanut M&M's.
